Does it have a built-in ND filter? If so, try using that when you shoot in the daytime, it may help bring some richer tones to your shots. If you had a DSLR, I would have recommeded a circular polarizing filter. I use one on my Wide-Angle shots. It helps darken my skies as well as cut reflections.
BTW - You last photo is my favorite. Great color contrast, the blue of the sky, and the deep green field works so well. And I love the opposing lines, the way the field slopes left, while the lines of the mountain veer right. Nice shot!
