Re: Book-to-Film debate

Sometimes I wonder if books and movies really go together. When you watch a movie being played, you wonder if it is the same story that you read in the book earlier. Not everything that is being read in the book, is being acted out in the movie. When I read a book and the movie which is being played, is based on the story that I read, I see it as a totally different thing from what I read in the book. I do not know if it has to do with air time, the commercials, if he wants to paint the picture of the story in a different way, or if it is the movie producer's opinion based on what he thinks. To get the real understanding of this specific movie, I have to go back and re-read the story over and over again.
