"On the Floor @Dove" is an online website created by the DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital that provides incredible learning resources, training videos, blogs, articles, assignments, and quizzes. The content varying from math calculations to surgery procedural videos to communication skills are helpful to vets, techs, assistants, receptionists, and managers.

Here are some free, non-premium videos you can watch. If you like what you see, then you should consider signing up!

If you visit their website (www.atdove.org), you can get a free 7-day trial. However, membership afterwards costs $350 yearly -or- $37 monthly. But get this... A few Penn Foster Vet Tech students have been organizing students in teams that hold 50 people. Guess how much per person you pay? ONLY $7 for a 1-year membership!!! Do I have you interested now?! We have up to 8 groups of PENN FOSTER VET TECHS right now, equaling out to about 400! Approximately 400 students from Penn Foster have joined the @Dove groups!!! HOLY HECKARONI! You guys should be a part of this no matter your skill level or semester you're in. Tell all your PF vet tech/assistant peers! Share this post, share the photos, share the links! Spread the word!

OVERVIEW:

1) A group consists of 50 members who each contribute $7 to the total $350 for a 1-year membership.

2) Collection of payment is freely open at the start of a new group. The funds are stored on an admin's PayPal balance. A payment deadline is announced when the group achieves 50 members.

3) Upon receiving the majority of the funds, the group admin will create an account on the atdove.org website and email membership invites.

4) Members create their "scrub in" information and have access to premium content.

5) When the year comes to an end, members who are still students may renew their membership for another year.

GUIDELINES:

  • You must be a current Penn Foster Vet Tech or Vet Assistant Student to join through a Penn Foster Group. Non-students are not allowed to join. Last year some members paid for friends, co-workers, and other non-students which was okay at the time, but due to @Dove’s Terms & Conditions, it is no longer acceptable. Graduates of Penn Foster are unable to join.
  • Please do not try to proceed with a membership if you are a non-student. There may be legal issues involved and can cause all OTF Penn Foster Groups to terminate.
  • PayPal is the only available online money transfer website we accept. If you don’t use PayPal, you can wait for a donated spot or work it out with your group admin/coordinator. You can pay for another member’s spot if they are unable to pay themselves.
  • You must submit membership fee of $7 each year you decide to renew. Additional fees may apply if PayPal claims part of the funds. You will be contacted if you need to send a few more cents.
  • After a group is closed, it is not the end for those who didn't get a chance to join the most current group. Names will continue to be taken. If the current group is full and closed, your name will be added to the next group -or- to the waiting list in case someone doesn't make their payment.
  • Membership invites are sent from atDoveMessage@atdove.org. Please add this email address to your contacts/address book in case you don’t receive the invite in your inbox or spam folders. Contact your group coordinator to have them resend your invite.
  • After a month, you’ll be contacted if your invite is still pending, meaning you did not create an account. If we cannot get ahold of you or there’s no communication from your side, you will be taken off your group and placed in temporary holding. If you’re still in temporary holding after a period of time with no response from you, your name will be moved to the discarded list. A refund can still be issued to you if you contact us before we donate your spot to another student. If your spot has already been donated, a refund will not be issued.
  • Occasionally your group admin might assign content for you to read or watch. Assignments are not mandatory to complete. Assignments on OTF are not associated with your Penn Foster academics. Certificates do not need to be sent to your group admin.
  • Let your group coordinator know if you plan on leaving/canceling your account. You’ll be asked if you’d like a refund or if you’d like to donate your spot to a student in need. Again, if we contact you about your absence and receive no response, a refund will not be issued.
  • At the end of each year, the member with the highest number of completed quizzes from each group will be sent a small prize/giveaway.
  • There is a new way to sign up/renew for OTF's PF Student Membership. Before, interested members would send us emails with their information or make a comment on the PF VT FB Group. It was a little tough doing it that way so we now have a Google Form.
  • After the 1-year membership, it would be time to renew for an additional year. Renewal notices will be sent out 4-6 weeks before subscription expiration date. You’ll still have access to OTF@D up till the deadline. Rejoining time varies on how quick the group fills up. Note: You might have to join a different group number to fill up the empty spots of a preceding group.
  • Loss of communication between member and admin comes from unsuccessful email deliveries. Be sure to add your admin’s contact email to your address book so you get emails they send to you. arieljaneseven@gmail.com
  • You must understand these guidelines in order to join.

HOW TO JOIN:

1) Click this link to fill out the Google Form: LINK. The information will be recorded. An email will be sent to you regarding your group status along with any instructions.

2) As soon as you sign up for a group spot, you can send your $7 payment through PayPal whenever finances are available. A payment deadline will be announced when a group nears 50 members.

3) After collecting the majority of payments, the group admin will open up an account on the @Dove website.

4) Members who have paid will receive an invite to activate and "scrub in" to their @Dove account with their preferred email.

5) Congrats! You have been floored! Explore the website and enjoy a HUGE amount of invaluable veterinary education geared content!
