I don't know for certain about Valencia; however, I can tell you this much. I used to teach at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, and one of my students graduated from PF. I also know that Miami Dade accepts it as well. What you should do is drive over to Valencia yourself and show them proof that PF is regionally accredited, and you will get a much more positive response. Erin Connors can you send Tiffany something about PF's accreditation so she can bring this to the school?
Regarding the test they are referring to, it's the PERT, which is simply an entrance exam designed to place you into the correct class (e.g. should you start in College Algebra your first semester or do you need a prep course like Beginning Algebra). ALL students that have a GED or graduated from a private school, out of state school, or have a Certificate of Completion must take the PERT. The following resources will help you.

I know Broward College offers a MOOC designed to prep you for the PERT and provide a memory refresher of skills you need to know in order to succeed in college level courses. Perhaps Valencia offers one as well. If not, let me know I can find the site Broward's MooC that you can sign up for.
