Hi guys! My name is Ariel, I am 26 years old and taking the step to get my high school diploma. So far it has been exciting experience. I can not believe how much support I have in taking this step. I was a teenager who made some bad choices when I turned 25 My life was a mess I had no job No boyfriend I didn't talk to my family much, I was what you could call a free spirit. I did what I want when and how I wanted to do it. I traveled the united states, and even modeled for a while. All that fun came to an end, I ended up homeless and when I looked around there was no one to help me or pick me back up. This is the turning point in my life where I decided to "pull it together". I got a job and I stayed in a shelter for a while just to save up enough money to move some where I knew. Once I moved and started new My life "flipped" I got a job as a bartender working 40 plus hours, started to make new friends and even met my now husband. I was a party girl who was going nowhere in life. After I got married my life of drinking and parting came to a screeching halt within about 2 months I went from the fun party girl everyone one wanted to be around to a wife and a step mother, I replaced drinking with homework help and hanging out with friends was replaced with family time. My life was coming together but I still felt empty, I needed something more. That is when I found Penn Foster. Going back to school has been so far one of the smartest choices I have ever made. I am learning and also being able to teach my stepdaughter new things as well. It's hard work but that high score on a completed test is WORTH IT!!! I am 9% complete and going strong. I am now working on civics (I was never good with history) so I am struggling with this one quite a bit. But in the end I know it will all be worth it!
Good luck to everyone!
Have a super fantastic day!
Ariel
