You're never "too old" to better yourself. My mother became a CNA when I was 3 years old. When I was 8 she became an LPN. When I was 18 she finally finished her Associate Degree and became an RN. When I was 27 she completed her BSN (that was 1996 and she actually did some of her degree work via distance learning, something rarely done then. When I was 34 she, at the age of 55, got her MSN and became a FNP. She's now retired but remains an inspiration to me.
